The industry standard Fireflo range of portable infrared space heaters and fan heaters is a fixture in many of the world’s leading hire fleets and industrial supply catalogues. Designed using the very latest in heating and airflow technology the range includes infrared heaters, standard fan heaters and high volume machines suitable for ducting through multiple outlets or long distances. All built to withstand industrial use and using the same high standard of materials and production methods this extensive range has something to suit every application.
Portable Industrial Fan Heaters and Infra Red Heaters
As the UK’s premiere electric heater manufacturers we offer an extensive range of industrial electric heaters. With a long, proud history spanning over 30 year’s as heating equipment manufacturers we’ve been able to design, develop and refine our Fireflo industrial fan heaters so that there’s something to suit everyone; from standard 230V 3kW and 110V 3kw fan heaters to very large electric heaters such as our FF110, which delivers a massive 110kW of heat.
Our full range of industrial space heaters, portable electric heaters and industrial fan heaters includes a dedicated range of event heaters, designed specifically for use in the events industry, powerful fan heaters that can be ducted long distances and models for those with a smaller budget. What are Portable Industrial Fan Heaters and Infra Red Heaters?
Portable heaters, also known as space heaters, are among the most commonly used tools in the world, there are literally hundreds of thousands of them in use. They are used for both process and comfort heating and suit a wide variety of applications in the industrial, commercial, agricultural and horticultural sectors.
Portable electric heaters are the handiest, most versatile and safest way of heating, drying and thawing. There are no exhaust gasses, vapours, odours or naked flames and therefore can be used in many applications where gas or diesel can’t. All you need is an electrical supply and you’re ready to go so they ‘re therefore ideally suited to almost anywhere heat is needed including marquees, construction projects, exhibition halls, warehousing, switching stations, hospitals and temporary accommodation.
Where can industrial fan heaters and infrared heaters be used?
Thanks to their versatility and safety, portable electric heaters, industrial fan heaters and infrared heaters can be used just about anywhere:
- Warehouses
- Factories
- Small industrial units
- Luxury Yachts
- Large storage facilities
- Shops
- Offices
- Sports centres
- Garages
- Building sites
- Marquees & events
- Hospitals
- Pest Control
- Hotel
For more sensitive places such as sugar factories, refineries or explosive environments then ATEX rated portable heaters may be available, but these are highly specialised and best left to experts to specify.
What are the benefits or advantages of portable electric heaters and industrial fan heaters?
As mentioned above, industrial fan heaters are the safest and most versatile type of portable heating. There are none of the noxious fumes or smells associated with gas and diesel heaters, they’re incredibly easy to install (all you need is a suitable supply), don’t require any extra ventilation and you don’t have to worry about keeping the fuel tank topped up.
Infrared heaters only heat solid objects, they don’t heat the air so are incredibly useful when localised or ‘spot’ heating is required. Imagine you have a huge warehouse with just one or two members of staff in there, heating the entire building would be incredibly expensive but with portable infrared heaters positioned where the staff are working you can keep them warm without worrying about the rest of the building. Similarly, if you have roller shutter doors that need to be kept open you can keep staff warm using infrared heaters instead of using heating and air curtains.
How to calculating heat requirements
1) Establish the required temperature rise in ºC.
2) Calculate the volume of the space in cubic meters (LxWxH).
3) Take in account the spaces type of insulation
Well insulated k=1.2
Average k=2.2
Badly insulated k=3.0
Hardly any at all k=4.0
The amount of heat required = rise in ºC x Volume in m³ x k x 4= Btu/h. Divide the answer by 3412 for kW’s.
What sets Fireflo Apart?
• Massive heat outputs and versatility. You might not need 100+kW regularly but a high volume 18kW unit that can be ducted or even heat four separate area’s is unique but very, very usable.
• Ductable. Powerful air delivery systems mean that most Fireflo heaters can deliver heat via 3-30m of ducting.
• Robust build and easy to use controls make Fireflo more longer lasting and user-friendly.
• More ‘Health & Safety’ friendly than diesel or gas.
• The most competitive prices around.
• Our 2 year warranty.
